"You have a podcast? Can I be on your show?"

Let's face it: It can be flattering for people to reach out to you and ask if they can be on your podcast, livestream or simply part of your digital content in general.

As flattering as it is, take a moment to reflect on whether its is a mutually beneficial opportunity, or a train wreck in the making. Yes. Call it for what it is!

For those that are looking to be a guest on a show, here are a few things to #GnawOnThis

* Have you done ANY research on the show you want to be on?

* What is your PURPOSE and VALUE to the show, host and your own objectives?

* What kind of format do you prefer? Q&A, Conversational, or something else?

BONUS QUESTION: Do you have the PROPER equipment, setting so you audio and visual presence is palatable for the listeners?
